Symptoms

RMAN backup of archivelog files with 'skip inaccessbile' returns error:
RMAN-03002: failure of backup command at 11/14/2005 16:37:51
RMAN-00600: internal error, arguments [13200] [] [] [] []

Script output posted to the tar displays error:
RMAN-03002: failure of backup command at 11/14/2005 16:37:51
RMAN-00600: internal error, arguments [13200] [] [] [] []

Cause

Archivelog files are moved (or deleted) outside of RMAN.

Customer collaboration justifies cause.

Solution

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

RMAN> Resync catalog ;
RMAN> Crosscheck archivelog all ;
RMAN> delete expired archivelog all ;

Then run your Archivelog backup (try with and without SKIP Inaccessible option).
