  • Wireless Modes of operation: infrastructure mode, independent mode (IBSS), and more.
  • The Linux Wireless stack (mac80211).
  • MLME (the management layer).
  • MLME operations: scanning, association.
  • RFmon. (monitor mode) and sniffing.
